Taylor’s Port – A Christmas Must!
I absolutely adore giving and receiving gifts at Christmas – even better when it’s something that I wouldn’t usually choose myself! So to receive a gift of Taylor’s 2010 Late Bottled Vintage Port under the Christmas tree would be a delight. There really is no better tipple after Christmas dinner than port, so you might as well make a fine port!
Established in 1692, Taylor’s Port is regarded as the benchmark for Vintage Port. They have an extraordinary collection of rare cask-aged wines and we must thank them for making this hugely delectable available to us. The Taylor’s 2010 Late Bottled Vintage Port is full bodied and sweet, matching Christmas flavours to a tee! Perfect with cheese or dark chocolate, this port can be enjoyed anytime of the day.
Taylor’s Port say –
“Pull the cork and soak up the gorgeous aromas of dark cherry and plum. Redcurrant, raspberry and blueberry flavours unfold on the palate in abundance with hints of black liquorice and firm tannins to complement the most challenging flavours such as Green & Blacks 70% Dark chocolate or cheeses like Chèvre, Stilton or Valençay.”
Taylor’s 2010 Late Bottled Vintage Port is available at around £15 a bottle from Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury, Morrison’s Waitrose and Booths. Or, if you want to make your gift of Christmas Port even more special, why not treat your loved one to a magnum of Taylor’s 2010 Late Bottled Vintage Port which is available in a wooden gift box at £35 from John Lewis.
