With the festive season upon us, many will be celebrating among friends, families and colleagues. Christmas parties (in fact any parties!) will always have a supply of alcohol of some sort, and even though responsible drivers would never jump in the car after a few tipples, it’s surprising the amount that do the following morning!

Alcohol can stay in your system for many hours and even though you might feel ‘ok’ you could still be over the limit. Almost one in five drink drive convictions are the morning after the night before, and a third of all breath tests after an accident are conducted between 7am and 1pm.  Be sensible and stop the guesswork – the AlcoSense Lite 2 personal breathalyser will help you see if you are safe to drive or not, making it the perfect gift for all drivers who enjoy the odd tipple!

The AlcoSense Lite 2  gives you clear results in seconds, and it’s so simple to use.  All you need for a reading is to turn the unit on, wait for it to count down to zero, then blow gently until it beeps.  If you want to re-test, simply wait five minutes for the sensor to clear and blow again. This works amazingly, and after trying it out for myself, I have recommended it to many friends and family members as the perfect gift.

My Personal Experience

I was lucky enough to escape the reality of home life and have a girl’s weekend in Dublin. As you can imagine, there was plenty of alcohol consumed over the whole weekend. Well, when you’re in Dublin you might as well join in with the ‘craic’, the atmosphere was incredible! I was due to check out of my hotel by midday, then take on the two-and-a-half-hour journey home. Thank goodness I brought my breathalyser with me – I was over the limit by a long shot, even though I felt fine! We walked around, got some food and it wasn’t until 4pm when I was ok to drive. On other occasions, I would have just drove home, but I was thankful that I had this nifty little gadget.

The Alcosense Lite 2 has a new sleek, pocket sized design. Measuring only 110mm high x 21mm deep x 46mm wide and weighing less 150 grams (including batteries), it can be discretely carried in a pocket or handbag. AlcoSense Lite 2 shows your level of intoxication in ‰BAC (promile blood alcohol content) in increments of 0.1. It will even alert you when you are close to or over the user-set drink drive limit.  It’s easy to maintain too  as it features a calibration reminder after 12 months or 300 tests so you can easily remember to have your breathalyser checked to ensure ongoing accuracy.

The AlcoSense Lite 2 is there to help people take the potentially fatal guess work amiss the morning after. Never leave it to chance! Aimed at the occasional drinker looking to check their level of intoxication, before deciding whether to get behind the wheel the morning after they’ve consumed alcohol, this will make a fabulous affordable present for many.

Sleekly designed in striking white, the pocket-sized AlcoSense Lite 2 is available priced £44.99 from Halfords or online at www.alcosense.co.uk
