Barú – Just Great for Christmas

New confectionery from Barú – Just Great for Christmas !

This is something new – I am not a fan of the usual marshmallow found in supermarkets but these are very very different. They have a texture and a flavour that take you back. The new Strawberry & Cacao marshmallow really does take me back to my childhood memories. If I close my eyes whilst tasting one of these divine marshmallows, all I can think about is old fashioned strawberry block ice-cream – heavenly!

Barú says –

“To ensure equal layers, this hand-crafted marshmallow is a labour of love as it is poured three times before the final marshmallow is hand-cut into generous pieces.”

These light balls of cotton wool marshmallows melt in the mouth and taste exceedingly good. Their soft texture and lightness is like no other marshmallow on the market today. Even if you aren’t a fan of marshmallows, then I can guarantee that these ones will sway your judgement.

Barú marshmallows are hand-crafted in Belgium and made to a carefully developed recipe that includes real honey and ground vanilla pods.

These would be fantastic at parties, as gifts for that special someone or just take a box for yourself and indulge!

Barú has a variety of flavours available including Vanilla Bean, Toasted Coconut, Sea Salt Caramel, Blueberry & Basil, Strawberry & Cacao and Raspberry & Mint. Each mallow is handcrafted and cut and packed into a 60g box and costs £3.25. Barú also makes fantastic swirly chocolate drink powders (£4.50 for a 250g tin) with many flavours including White Chocolate Latte, Salty Caramel Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Swirly Chocolate Powder & Figurines, Fluffy Marshmallow Chocolate Powder and chai drink powders; Spicy Chai Latte, Chocolate Chai Latte and Vanilla Chai Latte.
