I was delighted to receive the March Gift Box from the Craft Gin Club and I was so excited when I opened it. In this magical box, I received the following –
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin
Created in The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, this Gin has a fresh citrus taste and spicy notes of oriental botanicals. Personally, I absolutely love this Gin and it has become a firm favourite of mine. It is produced using twelve botanicals (shown in the table below), and the Gin itself is distilled by hand. This makes for a splendid tasting Gin and really is a pleasant Gin experience. I tried mine with Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic and it was amazing! Also, the bottle itself is fabulous. When I’m finished the gin, I will be still have this bottle on display, maybe with a candle in it too!
Ten Acres Crisps – ‘The day sweet and sour became friends’
Wow, seriously – I have never tasted crisps like these before, they are totally delectable! Sweet and Sour shouldn’t work as a crisp flavour (my personal opinion), but they do!! Not only that, but paired with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin, it works a treat! Ten Acres Sweet and Sour crisps are hand cooked and really give you an oriental taste and are incredibly moreish – you won’t want to share!!
New York Delhi Wasabi Peas
These heated Wasabi Peas are Marrowfat peas covered in a Wasabi coating. Again, these pair amazingly with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin. Spicy, but something you can’t get enough of, these New York Delhi Wasabi Peas make the prefect snack when having a tipple.
Peter Spanton No. 9 Cardamom Tonic
Infused with Cardamom, this tonic will compliment any fine Gin. It’s refreshing and makes such s good mixer for Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin. The mix of Cardamom and Botanicals are an ideal match.
Butler’s Milk Chocolate Irish Cream Truffle Bar
This is the chocolate bar of all chocolates – delicious!! Butler’s Milk Chocolate Irish Cream Truffle Bar is a milk chocolate bar with a delicious Irish Cream liqueur truffle centre. It’s chunky, chocolaty and is a great treat for anyone who has a sweet tooth for Irish desserts. Washed down with a sip of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin makes for the ultimate tasting experience.
