31 Oct Masons Dry Yorkshire Gin, the Perfect Gift for Discerning Gin Lovers
Distilled in small batches in a traditional copper alembic still using the time-honoured London Dry Gin process, Masons Dry Yorkshire Gin is the perfect gift for even the most discerning of gin drinkers in your family.
Masons Dry Yorkshire Gin
Believing that the traditional small batch distilling method produces gin of much higher quality than any other method, husband & wife team Cathy and Karl Mason soak their unique botanicals mix in their 300-litre alembic copper overnight. This allows their gin’s juniper notes to remain subtle, while other flavours can shine.
They then collect only the finest of the distilling process’ heart – a much smaller percentage than that collected by most other distillers – and this is what gives Masons Dry Yorkshire Gin its trademark smooth finish, which makes it good enough to be enjoyed straight, simply poured over a little ice (something that cannot be said about most other gin).
The delicate juniper notes of Masons Dry Yorkshire Gin come subtly to the fore, while cardamom and orange flavours provide a taste explosion with an uplifting blast of citrus. Next, the herbal tones of bay leaf and fennel are introduced and finally, the refreshing notes of citrus return to provide a delicious, lingering finish.

I must admit that I have never been a great fan of gin. However, having tried this incredibly smooth tipple using a couple of their serving suggestions (I particularly like the ‘Masons Moors Martini’ and the ‘Gin Yorkshire Rose’; you will find these and other serving suggestions at the Masons Website), I was very quickly converted. I even tried it just over ice – and enjoyed it thoroughly! If you have a gin fan in your family, I highly recommend you treat them to a bottle of this fine spirit this Christmas.
